Zankli Laboratory

In 2003, Prof. Lovett Lowson’s set up a TB laboratory at the basement of Zankli Medical Centre in Abuja to support his Ph.D. research project bordering Tuberculosis

It later transformed to the status of a Zonal TB Reference laboratory supporting the country in its first TB National survey in 2012

The drive for growth and transformation of the TB laboratory to a Research institute prompted the partnership with Bingham University in 2014 bringing about the name change from Zankli TB Laboratory to Zankli Research Center
